Chelanoo hatch out of eggs that are uncannily reminiscent of seashells. Particularly rich in calcium, these hardened shells ensure the creature only hatches out when it has reached full maturation. Furthermore, the shell itself is worn and bonds with the creature after they make their way off the beaches and into their ocean habitat, which they will never again leave. Never varying in appearance, it is impossible to gauge the creature’s age.
